Sue & John - The night before
From the moment I met Sue & John during our first video call, I immediately knew I wanted to photograph them. Their energy was complimentary and so much fun that I could immediately see why they were such a great couple.
Traveling all the way from Chicago to Hong Kong, I wanted to create a memorable set of images for their pre-wedding shoot, capturing the essence of Hong Kong and Mong Kok.
We decided to meet at MOKO just before sunset to capture the enchanting twilight hours of Mong Kok. Although the crowded streets posed a challenge, John & Sue were real troopers. We only had one interruption when a man wanted his picture taken, but overall, everything went smoothly. I hope everyone had a blast because I certainly did.

Despite it being a slightly hectic day, I’m so glad that I got to witness and document how well you both handled hiccups and challenges.
From dealing with a less than ideal concierge at the low block of City Hall to experiencing the full bureaucratic process, you both truly had a full tasting of the Hong Kong experience.
Honestly, I believe that these obstacles made the final outcome even sweeter and I'm grateful to have documented your time here and to have been a part of your trip to Hong Kong.
You were the last photoshoot I had in 2023, and I couldn't have asked for better clients to end the year with!
